About Me

If you haven't guessed already my name is Joe and I am born and raised in San Diego California.  I have been in love with my wife since the 7th grade and she finally agreed to marry me in September of 2006.  We have two amazing daughter Evangelene and Eisley who have become the lights of my life.  My favorite thing in the whole world is to just be with all three of my girls.

I also would consider myself a foodie and my wife and I spent WAY to much eating REALLY good food.  I enjoy going on random vacations and exploring new places and I really enjoy being active in anyway that I can.  I am somewhat of a Naturopath when it comes to life and health and even though I do not follow it all the time I try my hardest to keep on the straight and narrow when it comes to healthy living.

I grew up in that church,  but that never really made me a christian…at the age of 15 I really decided that I wanted to have a walk of my own and I committed my heart to God.  Since that day I continue to try to make the right decisions based on how the spirit leads me.  Growing up in a popular church culture was an interesting thing,  but in my mid 20’s I kind of got sick of the legalism and all the crap that goes along with that in the church.  Like a lot of “millennials” I did become pessimistic about all things church,  but I have not allowed that to push me away completely.  As much as I disagree with the church ( and we will probably talk about that a lot ) I have not disowned it and I have not completely lost my hope.

I love music and I was a christian musician for many years,  but now I am able to lead worship at my home church and a couple of other churches when they will have me.  I love hanging out with my friends and extended family and like most guys I do love video games.

I have had many jobs,  but the most recent one has been for a software company called Kajabi.  I started 3 years back as a videographer and now I am the Brand and Communications Manager.  It has been a really fun ride so far with a group of really great people.

As we will talk about in posts to come I do take more freedom in my “liberties”  then some of my other church counterparts.  I have never and will never be someone who pushes these things for reactive purposes,  but it is a small part of who I am.  I really do enjoy making and and drinking craft beer,  it is a hobby that I picked up a few years back and it makes me feel like a mad scientist.  I also enjoy smoking cigars and drinking scotch,  but again these things do not define me and I have and will not allow these to ever have control over me.
